Greenwood families,
I'd like to take a moment to celebrate with you a successful month of January and thank you for all of your help in allowing us to run school safely. Despite high numbers of COVID-19 in our state and county, our schools in LGSD have had very few staff and students impacted in the month of January. That is largely because parents are keeping students home and staff are staying home when they have symptoms or illnesses. It is also due to the safety protocols we are following in our buildings such as face coverings, physical distancing, and handwashing. Until the pandemic subsides, let's please continue to be vigilant so that we can continue to operate and have students in our buildings!
Valentine's Day - We will celebrate Valentine's Day here at school on Friday, February 12. Our celebration this year will be a little different, however. Students will not be allowed to bring valentines from home for classmates. Instead, teachers will facilitate some fun, safe activities in the classroom, such as making valentines for family members. Class parties will be low key and we will not be having parent volunteers. Teachers will communicate any additional information regarding the proceedings of that day.
Finally, our February PTS Meeting will be online this coming Monday, 2/1 at 3:30. The link for this meeting is below for any parents who would like to join and be a part of our PTS group!

We hope you have a great weekend. Go Giants!
