Greenwood Letterhead

Greenwood families,

Amid the chaos and changes involved with Covid-19, I wanted to pause and take a moment to welcome you back to Greenwood for the 2020-21 school year. It is my sincere hope that we as a staff can get to know each of you and create a positive experience for you and your child.

You are probably aware that our community no longer meets the health metric targets that would allow us to start the year doing K-3 in-person learning. As of today, August 18, we plan to start the year in our Comprehensive Distance Learning plan for all students in grades K-5. Please note the following pieces of information:

  • School is scheduled to start online on August 31.
  • Online learning will be in the AM, with additional support in the afternoons. Specific schedules will be provided next week.
  • Material Check Out (including Chromebooks) will take place on 8/27 from 12-7 pm and 8/28 from 7 am - noon. This will be at the school.
  • Class lists will be available during the Material Check Out times listed above.
  • Teachers will be reaching out to you during the week of 8/24-28 to say hello and provide any additional information leading up to the start of school, including meeting links for online instruction.
  • If you have not done so already, please call the main office to confirm your enrollment status and to communicate any technology needs or other questions you may have.
We thank you for staying with us during this period of ups and downs. If you know our school, you also know that it is the relationships between our staff, parents, and students that make people want to be here, and we pride ourselves on maintaining that inclusive, supportive culture. As we strive to continue that legacy, we hope that your family is blessed with all of the things you need during this difficult time. At any time, please reach out to us at 541-663-3601 if you have any questions or concerns that we might be able to address. Welcome back -
we will get through this together.
