District Fiddle Club Donation

La Grande School District’s Fiddle Club was recently given a donation of $750 from the Optimist International Club of La Grande.
Carla Arnold, Lead Fiddle Club Instructor, said the club is excited to receive the donation. “This is a wonderful display of community support! I feel honored to represent the district in receipt of such a generous financial gift,” Arnold said.
Arnold said the money will be used for compensation of a cello instructor.
Fiddle Club has been happening in the district for more than 20 years and is for students ages 3rd grade through high school. This year, there are about 88 students participating.
